10 delicious SUPERJUICES to prevent aging!

No matter how young or mature you may be, the body is aging with every LUNGFUL of OXYGEN you breathe to survive.

You can't help breathing, but you can certainly tune up your immune system with appropriate nutrition(the earlier the better) in order to receive the incoming years in optimal condition, able to metabolize all the hazards that take effect when aging creeps on you silently and without warning.

Isn't it the biggest irony of existence that the very thing that infuses you with vitality is the very precise nemesis of precious good health? LIVING!

Yes indeed, with every breath of air your organism needs to survive, old age is settling in one step at a time at every fragment of every fragment of every second.

You lose the battle against the accumulation of free radicals that damage your cells and tissue at a faster rate than your body can respond to. The amounts of fatty acids inside escalate to the point where oxygen reserves are depleted in order to try and burn them!

The fatty acids damage cell membranes and propitiate free radicals harming them with more ease. These awful fats are responsible for degenerating the brain, thus we increase the risk of Alzheimer´s and Parkinson´s disease and the oxygen our whole body needs to distribute quantitatively concentrates on trying to break down these fats instead.

We are definitely not helping with our low vegetable and fruit intake, our increased consumption of processed foods, excessive sodium, transgenic fats, refined sugars and starches and until we can invent supplements that boost oxygen doses directly to the bloodstream, we can use antioxidant nutrition in order to ward off this silent killer: Aging...

You can consider adding to your diet... these 10 superjuices I carefully designed both from the flavor point of view, the benefits they comprise and the value they harvest in order to help prevent aging from the core, so it be reflected in the exterior.

1/ TAMARILLO SUPERJUICE

5 tamarillo fruits blended with rind and all, then sieved

3 peeled medium sized carrots

1 medium round onion(can be red)

2 cm peeled ginger root

2 tablespoons of real honey

1 green apple, seeded but not peeled

1 liter filtered water

---- after blending and sieving the tamarillo with the water, blend in the rest of the ingredients and drink the whole thing during the day. Since tamarillo is high in fiber, take it before any meal in order to suppress appetite and lose weight as the fiber tends to expand in the tummy.
---- tamarillo is loaded with antioxidants,fiber, beta carotene like the carrots, onions are natural antibiotics, honey is highly medicinal and it tastes great!

2/ FOREST BERRY ORGASM/ LONGEVITY ELIXIR

100 gr blackberies

100 gr bluberries

50 gr ripe strawberries

50 gr European berries(bilberry)

50 gr cranberries

50 gr pitted fresh cherries

30 gr chokeberries

250 cubic cm of cranberry juice

ice

optional/ 1 teaspoon powdered stevia

---- Blend all of these berries together with some crushed ice to make a refreshing summer longevity elixir. The taste is fruity yet tarty so add the stevia to sweeten things up a bit/ no sugar!

----These berries combined are the supreme sources of antioxidants which are substances that can slow the aging process and reduce the cellular damage that can lead to cancer. Incorporate them regularly into your diet.

3/ AMBROSIA SMOOTHIE

2 pitted ripe apricots

1 cup fat-free sugarless plain yogurt

3 medium Brazil nuts

2 tablespoons of real honey

35 gr peeled cucumber

---- Blend all of these ingredients together with some ice and drink once every other day. If you want to make this into a dessert, yo can set it in the freezer and add some raisins for kicks.

---- Selenium in the nuts protects against some type of cancers, yogurt has pro biotic bacteria that aid digestion and protect intestinal flora, crunchy cucumber fibers assist you in getting oxygen to flow fast through the bloodstream, and apricots are natural anti-oxidants.

4/ CHOCO-BERRY PLEASER

2 cups sweetened soymilk

50 gr frozen blackberries

30 gr chocolate (more than 70% cocoa content)

a pinch of cinnamon

ice

---- Blend all the ingredients except the chocolate and finish of with chocolate flakes on top

---- This is just scrumptious and should be added in moderation to the regular diet. Once a week it serves as an antioxidant bomb as well as choco-craving pleaser.

---- Blackberries are key in getting your anti-oxidants, chocolate contains beneficial flavanoids( anti-cancer, anti-allergy, anti-inflammatory compounds), Soy has too many health benefits like cholesterol reduction, osteoporosis and heart disease prevention, and cinnamon is the spice that helps you lower glucose(sugar) levels in your blood(take 2 spoonfuls of it every day for better results).


5/ SOCIALITE'S FRUIT COCKTAIL

2 kiwi fruits

2 mangosteens

1 slice of cantaloupe

5 ripe gooseberries

1 pink grapefruit

1 ripe orange

1 ripe lime

1 green tea sack

2 teaspoons stevia

---- Juice all the citruses, dice the rest of the fruits. Prepare the green tea in 1/4 cup of boiling water--let cool down. Mix the citrus juice with ice, the diced fruit, the stevia and mix it with the tea and then serve in dessert glasses. This is exquisite and expensive due to the mangosteen. But it is worth it because of the health benefits from the antioxidants present in kiwi, tea, and in the gooseberries, phytochemicals in all these green ingredients, and the mangosteen alone is one of the latest wonders in anti-aging fruit(think lychee, and then multiply that awesome flavor times a million!).

6/ BLOODYBERRY MARY COOLER

1 can v8 tomato juice(you can make your own juice with ripe tomatoes---sieve the pits and rinds though)

5 ripe strawberries

juice of 1 lime

pinch of pepper

3-4 drops Tabasco sauce

1 medium celery stick

dash of Worcester sauce

black pepper to taste

diet celery salt (take diet salt and mix it with finely chopped celery leaves)

7 cubes of ice

---Think of this cooler as the alcohol-free anti-aging version of the Bloodymary. Lycopene is the main antioxidant found in red fruits and vegetables, so the tomatoes, strawberries and even the red Tabasco sauce have it. Chillies are anti-inflammatory, anti-carcinogenic,and are believed to help prevent cancer.

----Blend the tomato juice with the strawberries and place them in a mixing glass with the ice cubes, the Tabasco, Worcester sauce, lime juice celery salt and mix. Serve when chilled, ice cubes and all in a tall glass with a celery stalk and get drunk...on youth.

8/ TAMARIND THAI TEA

100 gr tamarind seeded pulp

1 sack of green tea

juice of 1 lime

1 cm peeled ginger root

5-6 mint leaves

ice

filtered water

3 spoonfuls of brown sugar

---- In a mortar crush the ginger with some brown sugar and the mint leaves and add this to the bottom of a tall glass with ice cubes. Make the tea in 1/4 of a cup of boiling water and let cool down. Blend the tamarind pulp with the sugar and add the tea. Pour into the glass and serve chilled with a lime wedge for decoration.

---- Tamarind is good for digestion, has a high antioxidant charge,flavanoids, carotenes and vitamin c. You can drink as much of this tea as you want during the day. For a version with less calories just replace the sugar for stevia.

9/ SOUR SOP 'N' CHERRY SPRITZ

10 pitted ripe cherries

100 gr sour sop seeded pulp

stevia to taste

1/2 cup of filtered water

club soda or perrier

ice

---- Blend the cherries and sour sop with the water, ice and stevia. Pour this mixture first into a glas and then slowly add the club soda. Warning! it might go out of control and make fizz like crazy so go slowwwwwwwww.Drink immediately or the gas will disappear forever and ruin the freshness of this drink. Serve with something to stir.

---- Cherries have melatonin which is believed to be a key compound that neutralizes the oxidant and inflammation process caused by aging. Tart cherries offer benefits in regard of preventing heart disease and lowering noxious cholesterol levels. And so yummy and sexy they are I must say. You can drink cherry-based drinks whenever but careful with the fizzy water because it bloats.


10/ VELVETEEN MILKSHAKE

1 and 1/2 cups of sweetened soy milk(you can trade for non-fat milk)

3 spoonfuls of unsweetened 70% or more cocoa powder

a pinch of cayenne pepper powder

a few lavender flower leaves

ice

optional a bit more brown sugar if needed

--- Heat half a cup of milk and infuse the lavender petals inside for a few minutes and dissolve the cocoa powder-let cool down and sieve. Blend the ice, pepper, soy milk with the cocoa powder infused milk mixture until the texture is like velvet. Serve on a tall glass with chocolate flakes.

---- You get all the benefits from chocolate and soy milk here without sacrificing good flavors. This is highly caloric, but in moderation it will not make you gain weight. You might want to benefit from the antioxidant properties of chocolate with this sinful drink once in a while and infused cocoa is really trendy. I like lavender and chili in mine but you could try anise, cardamom or cinnamon...mmmm cardamom and chocolate.
